How Title Case works here

Title Case capitalises the main words and keeps short words such as a, an, the, and, but, or, of, in, on, to and for in lower case, unless they are the first or last word or follow a colon. Style guides such as AP and Chicago differ slightly on which short words to lowercase, so give important headlines a quick read afterwards. If you want every word capitalised, use Capitalize Each Word.

Fixing text typed with Caps Lock on

Paste the text and choose Sentence case. It lowercases everything, then capitalises the first letter of each sentence and the word “I”. Names and places will need capitals added back by hand.

Undo is there if you need it

Converting to lower or upper case throws away the original capitals. Press Undo to step back through up to 30 earlier versions of your text.

Case Converter FAQs

Answers about text cases and how the converter works.

Does it work with other languages?+

Yes, for any language that has capital letters, such as English, Spanish, French, German, Greek and Russian. Scripts without capital letters, like Urdu, Arabic and Hindi, stay unchanged, while any English words mixed in are still converted.

How do I turn a sentence into a URL slug?+

Use kebab-case. “My First Blog Post!” becomes “my-first-blog-post”, which is ready for a web address.

Can I undo a conversion?+

Yes. Press Undo to restore the text as it was before each conversion, up to 30 steps back.

Is my text stored anywhere?+

No. Conversion happens in your browser, and nothing you type is uploaded or saved.
